Mr. S. K. Patnaik (or Bapi Patnaik as he is popularly known) is the Chairman of the Patnaik Group of Industries and a well-known personality in the mining industry.

After initially completing his graduation (B.E. Electronics) from Bangalore University, he slowly started participating in the family business and eventually took over from his father, Late Mr. R.N.Patnaik, in 1995.

Under his leadership, the group has expanded into a 1500 crore conglomerate with businesses in the field of Mining & Mineral Processing, Renewable Energy, Education etc. In recognition of his exemplary leadership and achievement, he had been entrusted with the position of Vice President, Eastern Zone Mining Association(EZMA) to represent the eastern mining body on national forums.

Mr. Patnaik, despite being a successful industrialist, has never forgotten his responsibilities and duties towards society. The school promoted by him in his hometown of Keonjhar, Odisha, today educates more than 3000 children at a very subsidized cost.
