Paper Machine

Saloni Engg., A Sister Co. of Ruby Macons Engg.

Paper Machine is the main equipment through which the actual paper making takes place. The clean pulp obtained from the pulp section is fed into the paper machine through the Headbox. It then goes through a series of rolls which help in removal of water from the pulp through mechanisms like vaccum suction, mechanical pressing and surface heat transfer. The appropriate chemicals are also added to the paper during this process.

Key Equipment

Consistency Regulators: Consistency regulators are used to minimize GSM variation across the width of the paper. At Stark Ridge Paper, consistency regulators are installed at every stage, right from the storage chests till the machine chests.

Size Press: Size Press is an equipment (set of rolls) that is used to add starch or other chemicals to the paper.

QCS Scanner: QCS Scanner is a device that is used for in-situ monitoring of the paper moisture and GSM levels during the paper making process. At Stark Ridge Paper, this scanner is a highly automated system with built-in feedback loops for auto-correction.
