Further to the Govt. of India’s ban on single use plastic bags and other products, Stark Ridge Paper, in collaboration with the the Jharkhand Government, organised Paper Bag Making Workshops for Self-Help Groups at Chakulia.

The workshop was conducted in small batches, keeping in mind space & COVID-19 safety. In all, about 200-300 women participated.

Each session started with a talk about the role of paper bags in participants’ economic empowerment & in environmental protection. The participants then received hands-on training for using the equipment provided to them and making paper cary bags. The session concluded with distribution of equipment & a meal.
